Heavy duty

Heavy duty, down to the last detail

Heavy duty is not a slogan: it is how every part is bent, turned and welded to our specification. Generous thicknesses, machine-shop tolerances, finishes that stand up to salt and to time.

Chef cooking on a MAXIMA cooker
MAXIMA · a chef at work in the galley

At sea a cooker is under the same strain as in the brigade of a busy restaurant: heat, salt, motion, one service after another. So we build it by the rules of a professional kitchen · components cut from solid, turned and milled, welded joints, nothing left to chance.

And we do not work alone. Between the Piave, the Pordenone plain and the Venetian lagoon lies a true triangle of steel: the industrial excellences of Veneto and Friuli, where some of the finest professional cooking equipment on the planet is born. It is the same know-how that fires the brigades of three-star restaurants and the kitchens of luxury hospitality, from Armani to Bulgari, and that we carry, unchanged, on board.

Off-grid Cooking · Research & Development

Energy efficiency
is our signature

Whether at sea or on expedition, a galley demands dedicated engineering that removes the strain on the electrical system and guarantees constant performance and safety. Our appliances are designed to redefine industry standards, built around absolute efficiency and structural excellence.

I Build & Hygiene

Steel-grade robustness, impeccable hygiene

The first pillar of a true off-grid professional galley is solidity. Our appliances are built like a tank, engineered to withstand the most extreme stresses on the open sea and the roughest terrain.

This strength is paired with a rigorous approach to hygiene. Our oven cavities are built in polished stainless steel, not brushed: there is no abrasive grain in which residues can lodge, so surfaces are exceptionally quick and easy to clean.

II Thermal Insulation

Advanced insulation, efficiency by design

Energy efficiency is where we refuse to compromise. We go beyond standard insulation: our ovens and appliances combine multiple insulation systems, from the thermal stability of rock wool to engineered sandwich panels built with the most innovative and technologically advanced materials available on the global market.

The result keeps thermal dispersion to a minimum, retains heat optimally and delivers a drastic energy saving that relieves the onboard batteries from continuous recharge cycles.

III Gas & Electric

Professional performance, at its peak

We don't just contain consumption: we maximise cooking performance to achieve the gastronomic results that made Italian cooking famous worldwide.

  • Gas systems. Our models feature high-efficiency burners developed together with leading names in professional catering.
  • Electric pioneers. We were the first company in the world in the marine sector to build a complete range of electric marine cookers.
  • Induction first (2015). The project was completed in 2015 and the line reached the market at the beginning of 2016: the very first gimballed induction cookers for sailing and motor yachts.
IV Marine Induction

Marine induction is not home induction

Cooking with induction in the middle of the ocean or in the desert requires specific measures compared to a domestic setting. Drawing on years of experience and leadership, we forged a strategic partnership with one of Europe's leading manufacturers of induction components, developing flexible and unique solutions, available in custom variants too.

  • Structural resistance. Electrical components engineered specifically to withstand constant vibration and mechanical shock.
  • Intelligent generator management. Powerful inductors and bridge systems paired with electronic configurations that regulate and modulate power fluidly, drastically reducing stress on inverters and generators and preventing the sudden trips of onboard safety systems.
  • Extreme optimisation (the 1 kW limit). Our R&D division reached an extraordinary milestone, creating optimised models capable of running an entire hob within an absolute limit of just 1 kW.
V The Italian Method

The Italian art of intelligent cooking

True energy efficiency is not limited to electronics: it extends to the very way food is prepared in demanding contexts. Our Research & Development department studied the culture of cooking away from home, going beyond mere technical performance.

We researched and refined a whole set of cooking techniques optimised for boats and off-grid vehicles, capable of drastically reducing the use of resources and energy during preparation. Being Italian, we took the research as far as the selection and combination of particular raw ingredients, chosen specifically to make thermal processes faster and more efficient. This union of gastronomic method and strategic ingredients cuts real consumption while elevating the final quality.

OCEANO Bluewater Cookers
Ocean Passages · Since the Beginning

Cookers built
for the ocean

A cooker built for an ocean passage has almost nothing in common with one built for coastal cruising. Two different worlds, and in part incompatible ones.

I Why It Differs

Weeks at sea change every decision

Many of our cookers can be built in variants modified for bluewater use: the models that offer it carry the Oceano Bluewater badge. And in any case, every product in the range can be customised into a dedicated reinforced variant.

We have built cookers for ocean passages since the very beginning, and there are today literally thousands of Techimpex cookers at sea aboard yachts of every kind.

Crossing an ocean means living for weeks with limited power, constant motion, salt air and no prospect of assistance. Every construction choice that ashore is a detail becomes, on board, the difference between cooking and not cooking.

II At Sea

The boats that ask the most

Among them is the XXL3 built to measure for Elmo’s Fire, the yacht of the great Italian offshore sailor Giovanni Soldini.

And there is Latifa. An ocean racer in the fullest sense of the term: designed by William Fife III and launched in Scotland in 1936 by the yard of William Fife & Son, she is counted among the finest the great Scottish designer ever drew, and by many as the finest of them all. For her refit we built a cooker in the Classic variant, made entirely to measure: special burners, an oversized oven, a reinforced one-piece steel grate cut from solid, and gimbal pivots of exceptional strength.

Techimpex cooker, Classic variant, built to measure for the ocean racer Latifa
Latifa · Classic variant, built entirely to measure

The XXL3 and the LATIFA model, which takes its name from the yacht herself, are only two examples of cookers reinforced or customised for extreme ocean use. The specification is the starting point, and from there the cooker is built around the boat it will live on.

III Structure

Built as one piece

The oven cavity is assembled by interlocking joints rather than by fastening separate panels. The result behaves as a single monolithic body, and it is what gives these models their exceptional rigidity under sustained working loads.

Stainless steels are drawn from the top of the range, AISI 316L included: the molybdenum-bearing grade, the one that resists chlorides.

IV Safety On Board

A cooker you can trust in a seaway

  • Heat-resistant knobs. A dedicated variant for long cooking sessions in a closed galley.
  • Door handles of dedicated design. Shaped to reduce the risk of injuring yourself against them as the vessel moves.
  • Reinforced pot holders. Sized to keep pans in place through a working seaway.
  • Oversized door lock. The oven stays shut whatever the boat is doing.
  • Ultra-reinforced gimbal variants. Heavier brackets and pivots than the standard range, for continuous motion over weeks rather than hours.
V Cooking & Power

Cooking well on limited power

  • Dedicated burners. Not the ones fitted to the standard range, and more capable.
  • Induction hobs developed for life on board. Not standard modules: power management is designed to reduce cycling and the strain it places on inverter and generator.
  • Ovens adapted to ocean passages. Specific heating elements and a heat management approach conceived for limited power.

Further bluewater solutions are available on request, or can be developed together with the client. It is the work we have always done for shipyards and owners, one boat at a time.

On a boat that sails far from help, the availability of a part counts as much as its quality. That is why spare parts are held in stock by our distributors in every principal market.

Built around
a single boat

We have built to measure since the very beginning. Over the years we have delivered hundreds of customisations, working alongside individual owners, shipyards and designers from every part of the world.

I What Changes

Materials, functions, dimensions, types

A customisation can be a steel grade, a burner laid out differently, a body that has to fit a cabinet already built, or a machine that does not exist in any catalogue. More often than not it is all four at once.

SINKS Made to Measure
Sinks · Any Dimension

Cut to the
millimetre

Every sink we build is made to measure. There is no list of standard sizes to choose from: you give us the opening, and the basin is drawn around it.

I How They Are Made

Professional processes, marine dimensions

These sinks come from the world of professional kitchens: the same forming, the same welds, the same tolerances. We build them with a zero radius in the corners, or with a wider radius where a softer line suits the galley better. The choice is yours, and it takes nothing away from the strength of the basin.

II What Goes With Them

Boards, colanders, and whatever else is needed

On board a sink is rarely only a sink: every surface has to do more than one job. Ours take chopping boards, colanders, draining trays and other accessories that rest on the rim and turn the basin into worktop when it is not in use.

SOAPSTONE Valtellina
Cooking Accessories

Soapstone from
the Valtellina

Our ovens are Italian ovens: built for static cooking, with the heat rising from below. It is an old choice, and it is the one that makes everything else on this page possible.

I The Static Oven

Heat that comes from below

In a static oven heat is not blown: it radiates. It rises from the floor of the chamber and wraps the food slowly, without drying the surface before the inside is ready. This is how Italian home ovens and bread ovens cook, and it is why in an oven like this the rise carries on through the first minutes instead of stopping, the crust forms where crust belongs, and what should stay soft underneath stays soft. It allows the long braise, the roast that keeps its juices, the gratin that closes on top without drying the filling, and pastry, which a current of air would ruin.

Soapstone pot

II In the Galley

What comes out of an oven like this

Bread, pizza and focaccia, which take their double nature of crust and crumb from static heat. Roasts and braises, cooked long and low. Fish in salt crust or in paper, where what matters is heat that wraps rather than heat that dries. Bakes, soufflés and vegetable flans, which a fan would collapse. Short pastry, sweet leavened doughs, meringues left to dry for hours in an oven almost switched off. And whole roasted vegetables, which want time and not haste.

III The Accessory

The advantages do not stop there

Having the heat arrive from below made it possible to introduce an accessory unlike any other into our ovens: the stone. There are two of them, and they come from two different Italies. Lava stone is volcanic basalt, quarried from the old flows of Etna, in Sicily. Soapstone comes instead from the thousand-year-old quarries of the Valtellina and the Valchiavenna, in the province of Sondrio. Two rocks opposite in history and in temperament, and good for two different things.

IV The Soapstone

Five thousand years of quarries

It is not born of fire but of pressure: deep rocks, rich in magnesium, slowly transformed in the roots of the Alps. What comes out is a metamorphic rock of talc, chlorite and magnesite, matt green, soft enough to be turned on a lathe and yet refractory. The conditions that form it are so particular that in Italy it is found almost nowhere else. In the quarries of Alpe Pirlo, Val Giumellino and Valbrutta, above Chiesa in Valmalenco and Lanzada, it has been cut since the Neolithic: Pliny the Elder already mentions it in his Naturalis Historia, and by the sixteenth century the pots turned on water-driven lathes were going down the valley to be sold across Italy. Those same pots are still in use, and the same slabs sit in the ovens of Italian restaurants that hold stars. It cooks gently and evenly: it is the stone of bread, of pizza, of focaccia, of the long bake.

V The Lava Stone

Basalt from the volcanoes

It is magma that stopped. Cooling in the open air along the slopes, the flow becomes basalt: a dark, dense rock full of microscopic pores, made of plagioclase, pyroxenes and olivine. It is hard where soapstone is soft, and it takes high temperatures and sudden changes without cracking. That is why it is the stone of the grill made indoors: steaks, fish, vegetables over fierce heat. The porous surface is naturally non-stick and keeps the fat away from the food.

Lava flow
VI On Board

One pan less, one flywheel more

Cooking a steak on the stone, inside the oven, means not having a searing pan on the cooktop while the boat moves: no spitting fat, no smoke in the saloon, less risk. And the stone, once hot, is a remarkable thermal flywheel: it holds heat for a long time and gives it back slowly, so the oven works less to keep its temperature. On board, where every watt and every kilo of gas is counted, that is not a detail.

Steak on the stone
Steak on the stone
Steak on the stone
Steak on the stone
VII When It Was Magic

The stone that took the poison out

For centuries these stones were believed to hold powers. At Piuro, in the Valchiavenna, soapstone pots were said to neutralise poison while the food boiled, which is how they ended up on the tables of those who had enemies. Fat kept in those vessels was said to last for decades without turning, the stone was said never to wear away, the fire was said to have no hold on it. It was the talc and the chlorite, the porosity, the slowness with which heat enters and leaves. But whoever was cooking did not know that, and called it the magic stone.

The same rock that five thousand years ago became a cooking pot now goes into an oven that sails.

International Distributors and Partners

Our production is broad and varied: some of our lines are distributed worldwide, others are built to order for a single shipyard or a single boat, and others again are dedicated lines developed with partner brands. Where a line is distributed, spare parts are normally held by the distributor. The list below is not exhaustive: write to us and we will point you to the nearest dealer, distributor, exclusive agent or partner.

One important note. The product lines presented on this site do not always coincide with those handled by the dealers and wholesalers who stock their spare parts: despite sharing a name, the products can differ substantially. The same model may also vary from one distributor to another in finishes, materials, burners, accessories and optional equipment, differences that are reflected in the price.

Spare Parts

Every Marine Cookers appliance is built to last, and to be serviced for decades. Tell us the model you own and we will point you to the exact parts it needs.

The quickest way to start is to send us a photo of your cooker. We will identify the model at once and confirm the correct spares. A picture taken with your phone is more than enough.

Our technical service is open seven days a week. Write to us and you will receive a reply within a few hours, then a quote from the distributor for your country, usually within a day.

Venezia · Italy · Three Generations of Italian Steel Craft

Electric Cookers
for the Sea

Precision engineering and artisanal craft, designed to perform at the highest level on the world's finest yachts.

Scroll
The Collection · Electric Cookers with Oven

The First Complete
Electric Marine
Collection in Europe

01 · A Pioneer
The Italian company that changed marine cooking

Marine Cookers · Techimpex was the first Italian manufacturer to launch a complete collection of radiant electric cookers for vessels on the European market. Founded in Conegliano and rooted in a craft tradition handed down through three generations, the company pioneered a new category of marine appliances at a time when galley design was still largely dictated by gas technology. That bold move established a legacy of innovation that continues to define the brand today.

02 · Radiant & Induction
From radiant plates to full induction · always first

Building on the success of its radiant electric line, Marine Cookers · Techimpex went on to introduce the first complete induction cooker collection purpose-built for the marine environment. Each transition · from gas to radiant, from radiant to induction · was driven not by trend but by a commitment to delivering cleaner, safer, and more efficient cooking solutions aboard sailing yachts and motor vessels alike.

03 · Aesthetic Rigor
Class, restraint, and technical sophistication

Every electric cooker in this collection is defined by a rigorous aesthetic standard. Clean geometry, refined materials, and meticulous proportions place these appliances at the intersection of industrial design and artisanal craft. The result is a product that belongs · visually and functionally · in the galleys of the world's most demanding naval architecture firms and the most discerning private owners.

04 · Handcrafted Excellence
Meticulous craftsmanship, one unit at a time

Each unit is assembled by hand in Conegliano, in the heart of the Treviso industrial district · a region with a deep-rooted tradition in precision metalwork and mechanical craftsmanship. Marine-grade stainless steel, corrosion-resistant finishes, and components engineered for the harshest sea conditions reflect a manufacturing philosophy where performance and durability are never compromised.
